Exciting News!

We are happy to announce that we are expecting... twins! We had our first ultrasound today and according to the measurements, I am at 10 weeks and 3 days. Twins run in the maternal side of my family (my sister's twin girls are almost four and a half years old) so we knew it was possible, but it was still definitely a shock to find out this morning. We are so excited and very happy to be moving back to Oregon this summer where we will have lots of family around for support!

Weekend Trip to North Carolina!

This past weekend I went to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit my friend Alice who is doing a pediatric ophthamology fellowship at Duke. We always have a great time hanging out together!


Alice picked me up from the airport and after a quick bite to eat at Chipotle, we went to a fancy spa for pedicures and manicures!

The spa happened to be located next to a patisserie, so afterwards we stopped for some late afternoon desserts.

On Sunday, we had brunch and then went for a walk in the Duke Gardens.

The gardens were a bit bare because of the drought, but there were still some flowers in bloom.
