A Summer Swim

This weekend was spent mostly hanging out at home with lots of playing and very little napping. Here is Lauren enjoying a puzzle piece.

Emily loves to babble and is always ready to play.

The highlight of the weekend was taking a dip in the swimming pool! Emily (right) took the water more quickly than Lauren (left).

Playing hard and standing tall

Lauren (left) and Emily (right) love to play! Sometimes they play together, other times against each other. There is never a dull moment.

The girls are both able to stand up... Lauren is still working on gracefully getting back into a sitting position from standing and often ends up doing the splits to make the transition.

Emily is our little daredevil. She loves anything that involves heights, speed, and danger.

Fourth of July Celebration!

Fourth of July was spent with both of our families which was quite a treat! The evening started with a BBQ at my sister's house. Emily (left) and Lauren (right) were so excited to play with cousins Kaylin (far left) and Kali (far right) and aunt Tian (center back).

After dinner, we set up chairs on the sidewalk and watched a great fireworks show produced by Uncle Greg!

The girls both enjoyed the fireworks, especially Emily.

Last month my sister-in-law Abbie and her family came to visit. Abbie is a professional photographer and took some great candids of the girls... this is Lauren with her sweet little smile that always brightens our day.

Emily loves to be held. She is very observant and keeps close tabs on what everyone (particularly sister Lauren) is doing.
