Sliding and playing with wah-der!

We never get tired of going to the park when the weather is nice! Here is Emily (left) and Lauren (right) playing peekaboo through the tic tac toe game.

We got two new barstools this weekend and the girls have discovered how fun it is to push them around and use them as ladders to gain access to the counters. Here is Lauren (left) and Emily (right) playing with water at the sink.

The girls constantly remind us of the joy to be found in the simple things in life... like a plastic box! Here is Lauren (left) and Emily (right) sitting together in their toy box after scattering the toys all over the living room.

A Kiss for Sister

Thank you to cousins Kay and Kali for passing along their exquisitely decorated Rody bouncers to the girls! Emily is bouncing with delight on the right while Lauren carefully peels off a sticker.

Lauren sometimes gives Emily kisses on the cheek! She even says, "Mmmmmahhh!" when she does it.

Mother's Day Weekend 2010

We braved the crowds to attend opening weekend at our favorite Beaverton Farmer's Market! Cousins Kay and Kali happened to be there too which made it extra fun. (Blue wagon: Kay in front, Kali in back. Red wagon: Emily in front, Lauren in back.)

Last but not least... a movie! Here is a video clip of the girls trike racing on the hardwood floors. Emily is quite skilled at trike riding... she goes fast, cuts sharp corners, and yells "Go go go!" Lauren prefers to take things slow and steady.

Dinner Party!

We had family over for dinner this weekend... including Carol Ann, one of our favorite relatives from Hawaii! Justin cooked a delicous gourmet dinner... seared halibut and whole wheat spaghetti with fennel, pine nuts, and basil.
