Coronavirus Pandemic- March 2020

Public school closed on friday, March 13th due to the coronavirus pandemic. On saturday, March 14th, it snowed! It is incredible how everything can change so quickly.

There was enough snow for a small snowman.

By afternoon, the snowman had started to melt.

The girls have been doing a lot of cooking during their time at home. This is a delicious dinner that Emily made for us.

Pancakes for breakfast!

The girls still do weekly live piano lessons with their teacher using the Zoom app on their iPads.

Their taekwondo instructor created a YouTube channel with workout videos, and he also holds live classes three days a week using the Zoom app.

We cleaned out the refrigerator...

Emily and I went running on a circular loop trail... you can barely see her on the trail across the field.

The girls are becoming quite skilled at making taiyaki.

We are having lots of fun playing games together!

Clue is one of our favorite board games.

The girls made this sign and texted a photo of it to their friend.

Hair salons are closed due to the pandemic, so I gave Justin a haircut in our garage. Not too shabby!

Girls making cinnamon rolls.

They were scrumptious!

The girls are still doing some academic work from home. On rare mornings, Justin lets them drink steamed milk with a splash of coffee.

Lauren working on her assignments. The girls are bummed that there will be no in person school for the rest of the year. We will keep our fingers crossed for a return to school in the fall!
