Disney on Ice

The girls saw the Disney on Ice Dare to Dream ice skating show this weekend!  We had rink side seats and were literally a few feet from the ice.

Lauren kept looking up at me and grinning throughout the show.  Her face was still a bit swollen from the previous night when she had a severe anaphylactic reaction to cashews necessitating a trip to the ER.  Thank goodness she is doing fine now!

Justin was on call, so DD joined us!  Emily enjoyed lounging next to him as she watched the show.

The show consisted of shortened musical on ice versions of The Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, and Rapunzel.

Clapping during the finale which featured all of the Disney Princesses!

And of course we came home with a couple of souvenirs... Rapunzel for Lauren and Snow White for Emily.

Family Portraits 2012

Here are some photos from a family portrait session we did in the late summer at George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego!  The photographer did an amazing job of getting the girls to look at the camera and smile, and we are so happy to have these photos to cherish for years to come.

Chuck E. Cheese and Movie Night

The girls attended a birthday party this weekend for Charlotte, one of their favorite school friends. The party was at Chuck E. Cheese and the girls had a fabulous time!

Lauren riding on a virtual roller coaster ride.

Emily enjoyed the roller coaster ride too.

Lauren had a blast on this ride... the faster you pedal, the higher you go!

Emily likes to pedal fast!

Whoa!  Emily in the driver's seat.  Fortunately this will not happen in real life for at least 11 years.

Lauren was not so sure about Emily's driving.

This weekend we also enjoyed our first family movie night in the lower level theater room!  I took this photo right before we started the movie (Madagascar 3).  I think Emily ate more popcorn than any of us!  It was a really cute movie and we are already looking forward to our next family movie night.

Lee Farms Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

The girls' class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch at Lee Farms! It was a super fun day filled with much more than just the pumpkin patch.

It was a misty day, but fortunately not raining.

Apple cider demonstration, complete with delicious samples!

 Checking out the goats.

Making their way through a simple hay maze.

Bike Riding- No Training Wheels!

The girls rode pedal bikes without training wheels for the first time this weekend! They are SO excited and will continue to work on perfecting their technique. We are so proud of them!

Baggenstos Farm Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we visited the pumpkin patch at Baggenstos Farm. The girls were so excited and went running into the field as soon as they got off the hayride !

 So many pumpkins!

A game of hide and seek... Lauren is hiding and Emily is seeking.

When the girls get excited, they like to hug each other.

A successful pumpkin hunt!

We made some masks this weekend too... Lauren is the owl and Emily is the lion.
