Family Portrait

A rare picture of the four of us together!  Thank you to Aunty Carol for miraculously capturing a picture with all of us facing the camera!

Aunty Carol Comes To Visit!

Aunty Carol is here visiting from Hawaii!  Emily (left) and Lauren (right) were thrilled to see her!

Trip to the Salon and Bob's Red Mill

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) enjoying the play area at Little Clippers after getting their hair cut and styled.  This time they had sparkle spray to finish off their hairdos!

Afterwards we went to Bob's Red Mill for brunch.  The girls like to watch the spinning water wheel in front of the building.

 Playing hopscotch!

A random picture of the girls playing with their "telescope".  They took turns looking at each other through the telescope while laughing hysterically.

Play Date With Gavin

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) always enjoy spending time with Gavin!

Having fun with wet sand!  The girls LOVED it!

Emily on the left and Lauren on the right.  Fortunately we had a towel and extra clothes with us that day!

Lauren (left) and Emily (right) riding on a fancy see saw at Ibach Park.

Girls playing in the backyard... we had a fence built this week so that no one will roll down the hill over the retaining wall!  Lauren debated trying to walk down the hill but wisely decided that it was too steep.  Emily happily stayed on the grass.

Party Time At The Little Gym

Our friend Gavin celebrated his 4th birthday with a party at The Little Gym.  The girls had so much fun!  In this picture Lauren is on the yellow block meeting a new friend and Emily is jumping down the foam wedge.

 Lauren swinging on the bars.

A group photo of all the party goers!

Sesame Street Live

We went to see Sesame Street Live!  This is one of our few family portraits taken at the meet and greet with Elmo and Cookie Monster before the show.

This show was called "Elmo's Healthy Heros" and included lessons about exercise, nutrition, sleep, and hygiene.

Lauren (left) and Emily (right) enjoying the show!

We sat in the first row, so at the end of the show when the characters came down off the stage, the girls got to dance with them!

Cooking Up A Storm

The girls love to eat and they enjoy helping out in the kitchen too!  Here Emily mixes up the dry ingredients for a biscotti batter while Lauren watches.

Lauren taking a turn at mixing.

Emily spreading sauce on a pizza.

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) sprinkling cheese on the pizzas.  Lauren LOVES cheese!

The girls watch intently as Dad slices up the mushrooms.

Jurgen's Park

This week we visited Jurgen's Park for the first time... Aunty Kimberly recommended it to us and we loved it!  The unique feature of this park is the climbing cargo net.  Lauren climbed to the top so quickly!

Emily making her way up as Lauren climbs down.

 Swings are always a favorite!

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) wearing their princess crowns.  Their favorite things right now include anything having to do with princesses, Dora the Explorer, Diego, Backyardigans, and Wonder Pets.

Opening Day at the Beaverton Farmers Market

The Beaverton Farmers Market is one of our favorite places!  We went on opening day and managed to get everything we wanted before it started raining.  Here are the girls on the way to the market... Lauren prefers to ride in the wagon and Emily prefers to walk.

Riding in the wagon after a visit with the balloon artist.

Earlier in the week we discovered a new set of rings at a nearby park!  Emily was so excited!

Lauren likes to hang and swing too.

Happy Mother's Day!  Emily and Lauren made Mother's Day cards at preschool by tracing their shoes on construction paper to make butterfly wings and decorated them with fingerprints.

Let's go for a hike!

Lauren (left) and Emily (right) hiking at the Cooper Mountain Nature Park. They enjoyed walking on the gravel trail in their hiking shoes!

Our friend Gavin came over for a play date this past week and the girls were delighted!

 The gang enjoying some snacks.

At a recent visit to Maw's house, Emily decided to sneak away and try on Mommy's boots.  Lauren was upset that she hadn't thought of the idea first.

Lauren eventually got to try on the boots too!
