Rockaway Beach

We took a quick weekend trip to Rockaway Beach on the Oregon coast... it was Lexi's first family vacation!

Emily and Lexi sitting on the back deck.

The back deck was just steps away from the beach.

Sunset on the beach is always so pretty!

In the evening, Lexi kept running all over the house... I was relaxing on the bed and she kept checking on me.

Then she decided she wanted to get onto the bed...

...and then she fell asleep!

We brought a twenty foot long leash so Lexi could run on the sand.

She loved it!

Lexi and the girls enjoying the beach.

You can barely see the three of them in this photo... they were running towards the water.

Justin set up a nice shady open tent for us to sit in.

Lexi enjoying the sun and a beef cheek on the back deck.

The girls have always loved wading in the ocean and jumping the waves.

Lexi experienced a small wave and decided that she does not like the ocean.

Anytime the water came close to her, she ran away.

Lexi sunning herself while watching the girls play in the ocean.

All of the sun and excitement made her exhausted!

Video clip of the beautiful sunset... it was a great trip and we are looking forward to returning this summer!

Unicorn, Tulips, Lexi

Emily crocheted this beautiful rainbow unicorn!

We had a very low key Easter with lots of chocolate. Lexi was still wearing her cone.

I drove out to the Wooden Shoe tulip farm for a brief visit... the fields were not in full bloom but were still beautiful!

Here are some film photos I took using Portra 400 film stock:

Lexi resting on the couch with Lauren.

Sometimes Lexi gets very wild and mischievous late at night.

When she is tired, she loves to curl up in her flap bed.

She also likes to lounge on the couch next to the girls while they do homework.

She loves to rest in sunny spots and chew on a dried beef cheek.

We are teaching her the "leave it" command.

Sometimes we place treats in cardboard boxes... Lexi loves to figure out how to get them out.

Snoozing on Lauren.

Lexi "smiling" after a play session with her favorite flamingo toy.

Enjoying an afternoon beef cheek.

She is growing so much in length and weighs over 14 pounds now!
