Tulip Fest 2016

We went to the Tulip Fest this weekend in Woodburn... the fields are not fully bloomed yet, but there was still lots of color and it was a gorgeous sunny day!

The girls love the festival area... this year they tried the rock climbing wall.

Afterwards we went shopping at the Woodburn factory outlet mall. Lauren found a pretty necklace and Emily picked out a hat. :)

Taekwondo Orange Belt Testing

Emily and Lauren recently passed their orange belt test! Here are some videos from the test:

Lauren breaking her board... it took her a few tries, but her classmates cheered her on and she did it!

Celebration of Learning and Bend Trip

Celebration of Learning is a student led conference in the spring that gives students an opportunity to present their school work to their parents. Emily did a research project on the Goliath Bird Eating Tarantula. Its legs are twelve inches long!!!

Lauren did a great research project on the Poison Dart Frog. 

Lauren was Super Scientist this month! She presented an experiment to her class about vacuums using a glass jar, rubber band, and plastic bag. She earned a 4 on her presentation... the highest score! 

We took another trip to Bend to do some skiing. 

It was quite blizzardy, but the powdery snow was great... Lauren said it was like "skiing on sugar". 

Weekend Fun With Friends

The girls went to Haley's birthday party at Oregon Gymnastics Academy and had a great time!

We also went over to Amanda's house for dinner.

The girls put on a post-dinner fashion show.

We visited the Kisors and met their new puppy Bear... he is only eight weeks old!
