Partying with the big kids

This past week also included a visit from Grandma Rufener and Great Grandma McDonald!

The girls picked out new shoes for the fall... Lauren went for the rhinestone rainbows and Emily went all out with glittery leopard print.

Excavation began on the lot next door and the girls were fascinated by the all of the work being done! They had a perfect view of the action from our kitchen window.

Fun weekend with Chris and Alice

Our friends Chris and Alice came to visit from North Carolina! We had a great time hanging out and eating lots of food. Here is Alice feeding Emily (right) and Lauren (left) one of their favorite fruits... strawberries!

Friends from far places

This week the girls got to see their friend Hazel (pictured here playing with Emily) who came all the way from Colorado for a visit! Lauren is playing on the slide with Gavin AKA "Gabin" who lives here in town.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend which included time spent relaxing at home in comfy clothes and playing with toys. Here is Emily playing with a new wooden bread set from cousins Kali and Kay while receiving a big hug from sister Lauren.

The highlight of the weekend was having cousins Kali and Kay over for dinner. As usual, the playing was intense with lots of shrieking and running!
