Spring Break Skiing in Bend- Videos

Spring Break Trip to Bend

We spent a few days in Bend enjoying some great spring skiing! Here is Emily (left) and Lauren (right) all geared up and ready to go.

The summit lift was open and the girls successfully made their way down the summit for the first time with just a few minor spills... we were impressed!

On the last night of our stay in Bend the girls got to indulge in candy and cartoons in bed. :)

My Birthday!

I had such a nice birthday weekend! The chocolate cake that MAWS made was amazing!

The girls helped me blow out the candles. 

We also went out to dinner at the Portland Seafood Company to celebrate both my birthday and Grandma Rufener's birthday!

Ocean animal projects, bike ride, and a birthday party

The girls are studying ocean animals at school. One of their homework assignments was to make an art project featuring the animal they chose to study. Lauren picked a seal!

 Emily chose a sea otter.

The weather here has been amazing! This weekend we went bike riding on the Fanno Creek trail.

The girls like to stop and play at the numerous playgrounds located along the trail.

The girls also went to a birthday party for their friend Haley. It was a great weekend!

Skiing in Bend

We drove to Bend this past week and went skiing on Mt. Bachelor.

Our first day on the slopes was cloudy and snowy. The fresh snow was nice!

We like to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn... there is a walkway from the hotel to the Old Mill District which has lots of great restaurants.

The trees in the Old Mill District had pretty lights on them!

The next day there was even more fresh snow and blue skies!

On the second day, the girls did some blue (intermediate) runs... they did great with no falls!

Justin brought his Go Pro camera on a telescoping rod so we were able to take some selfies.

On the way back from Mt. Bachelor, we always stop at Starbucks to get warm drinks. The girls love to sit in front of the fire in the hotel lobby to warm up.

Even after a long day of skiing, the girls still have energy for swimming!
