A Visit from Kaylin and Kali

Cousins Kaylin and Kali came to visit and generously brought yet another batch of toys for the girls! From left to right: Kali, Kaylin, Lauren, and Emily.

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day... Emily (left) and Lauren (right) tried out the see saw for the first time!

The swings are always a favorite activity at the park... Lauren on the left and Emily on the right.

After playing at the park, the girls came home and relaxed on the back porch with Dad... Emily on the left and Lauren on the right.

On Sunday we went to Home Depot... Lauren (left) and Emily (right) drove the shopping racecart all over the store!

Moving Weekend!

We moved into the new house this weekend! Here is Emily enjoying a pizza crust the night before moving activities began.

Lauren loves pizza too... particularly the Extreme Veggie from Pizza Schmizza.

After dinner, Lauren (left) and Emily (right) helped pack up the balls from the inflatable bounce house.

Moving day! The weather was perfect! It took two trucks and four men eight full hours to load and unload our boxes.

The girls enjoyed a weekend retreat at Grandma and Grandpa's house so we could get some of the essentials unpacked efficiently. When Emily (back) and Lauren (front) arrived at the new house today, they were so happy to see all of their old toys in a new playroom!

We closed on the new house! We will be moving in next weekend. Lauren (carrying the stereo) and Emily (you can see her shadow in the dining room) love to run through the open spaces!

Navigating the Stairs

The girls are getting faster at navigating the stairs! Here is Emily (upper) and Lauren (lower) coming down the stairs after waking up in the morning. See below for movie clips!

We continue to visit parks every chance we get! Here is Lauren (left) and Emily (right) enjoying the swings on a beautiful spring afternoon!

Emily going down the stairs. She is cautious and starts far from the beginning of the staircase to give herself plenty of negotiating room and then slides down in a continuous fashion.

Lauren going down the stairs. She likes to stand up on the landings in between sets of stairs. She also tends to spin her way down the staircase.

Our evening routine includes taking a bath, going downstairs to drink warm milk, and then going back upstairs to the nursery to sleep. This clip shows the girls going upstairs to the nursery together at the end of a long day.
