Amanda's Birthday Party

Emily and Lauren always enjoy celebrating birthdays! Amanda's party started at the rock climbing gym.

They went out to a japanese restaurant for lunch.

Green tea ice cream for dessert!

Swimming at the Racquet Club.

After swimming, everyone got dressed up for a banquet dinner at Urban Farmer. The dinner was so much fun I forgot to take any photos!

Taekwondo, Mother's Day, and 22 Below

All of the black belt students at the girls' taekwondo school had a group portrait taken... this one is the traditional portrait with everyone smiling.

For this portrait everyone made a fist and yelled, "Haaa!"

The Monopoly game at Safeway always ends in May... one of the cashiers gave the girls LOTS of tickets!

Group selfie at the Rufener's house on Mother's Day.

The girls and I took a selfie at home too. :)

The girls and I decided to visit 22 Below... they specialize in rolled ice cream.

The toppings are mixed into the cream on a really cold metal plate.

After the ice cream freezes, the ice cream is shaped into rolls.

Lauren ordered ice cream and Emily ordered bubble tea. Both were delicious! :P

2019 Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest

We went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest this year! It had been a few years since we last visited. It was a sunny day and the fields were almost in full bloom.

Ordering a snack of sausage with grilled onions.

I took this photo with my digital camera...

The rest of these photos were taken with an old fashioned 35 mm film camera...

Miscellaneous April Photos

The girls went to a swimming party... here is Emily dunking the ball.

Lauren making a basket.

We finally went to Pine State Biscuits!

The food was delicious although quite rich and filling.

The fifth grade ambassadors did a volunteer project at a local assisted living facility.

The students served ice cream sundaes and gave handmade cards to the residents.

Everyone had a great time!

Emily had a family heritage clothespin project for her class... her clothespin was an homage to DD. :)
