January Snapshots

Lexi makes comfort and rest a priority every day.

She likes to use Justin's pillow when he's not looking.

So relaxed!

On a recent teacher workday, Lauren and Justin spent a day skiing at Mt. Hood.

Emily and I stayed back and went out for a sushi lunch.

Lexi resting after a day at the dog spa.

We visited Maws and DD at their new apartment and had lunch with them. The building is so new and spacious, and the food was delicious.

Lexi worries when the girls leave for school in the mornings.

She likes to be tucked into her bed at night.

So happy to be in her bed.

Enjoying a nice sunny spot.

She loves all of the blankets on Lauren's bed.

Lexi's dog sitter has a cat named Timber... Lexi and Timber love to spend time together. They are a cute pair!

Spokane High School Invitational Highlights

We returned to Spokane last weekend for another indoor track meet called the Spokane High School Invitational. It was fun to go back, especially now that we are a little more familiar with the city and the venue.

Lauren did a fantastic job running the first leg of the girls 4x200 relay.

Lauren also got a new PR in the 60 meter... 8.41 seconds.

Emily's made it to finals (top 8 competitors) with a triple jump of 35 feet, 5.25 inches.

Emily ran a strong 60 meter race with a time of 8.05 seconds.

Congrats to the girls on another great meet!

Spokane High School Preview Indoor Track Meet

The girls competed at the Spokane High School Preview track meet... it was our first time visiting Spokane. The Spokane River runs through the downtown area.

The weather was cool but sunny.

Lauren long jumped 13 feet, 5.5 inches.

Emily long jumped 15 feet, 6.75 inches.

Emily and Lauren happened to be in the same heat for the 60 meter sprint.  Emily's time was 8.05 seconds and Lauren's time was 8.49 seconds.

Lauren triple jumped 31 feet, 7.25 inches.

Emily triple jumped 36 feet, 0.25 inches.

Justin and I ate tacos for lunch at a great restaurant called Cochinito.

Pretty sunset as we walked back to the hotel.

We also discovered a great restaurant called House of Brunch. It was a fun weekend trip and the girls both did a great job at the track meet!
