Seven months and counting...

Emily and Lauren are seven months old! The girls have started to eat solid foods such as green beans and carrots, and they are both rolling from back to front. Play time is becoming a bit more advanced as well.

Lauren carefully manipulating the ring toy.

Emily enjoys trying to eat this toy like a lollipop.

Emily is very active and enjoys physical activities. She will fight sleep to the point of exhaustion.

Lauren enjoys soothing and comforting activities and quietly observing everything around her.

More playtime, less naptime

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) on Valentine's Day. Emily often has her hands clasped together and/or in her mouth. The girls are slowly growing more hair on their heads... also referred to as "fur" by their cousin Kali.

The girls enjoying some play time with Dad.

Emily resting after an exhausting play session. She is really long... 75th percentile, uncorrected for prematurity! We are guessing her growth will slow down soon.

Six months old!

It's hard to believe the girls are already six months old! They had a check up on friday, complete with four shots and an awful tasting rotavirus oral vaccine for each of them.

Lauren weighs 13 pounds, 15 ounces and is 26 inches long.

Emily weighs 14 pounds, 15 ounces and is 26.5 inches long. Those extra big bottles she drinks are adding up!

Lauren playing in the floor gym... she is very good with her hands and also likes to play with the toy bar on her bouncy seat.

Emily recently began rolling from back to front...

Sometimes she will roll over several times consecutively to move across the room, so we have to keep a close eye on her! Emily has also taken to sleeping on her stomach at night now that she is able to turn herself over.

Lauren is developing the sweetest personality! She is an excellent napper which probably helps her maintain such a good disposition.

Emily eating some oatmeal... she seems more interested in eating than sister Lauren. This is not a surprise considering how much she loves drinking bottles.

Lauren is still getting used to the idea of eating... she has a lighter appetite and prefers to drink smaller bottles.
