Fall Haircuts

Lauren and Emily got haircuts the week before school started. We tried a new salon... the stylists were great and the girls' hair looks so nice!

Trailer Camping at Floras Lake

In August we went on a camping trip to Floras Lake on the southern Oregon coast. We borrowed Grandpa and Grandma Rufener's trailer and truck for the trip. Justin and the girls headed out early in the week and I met up with them a couple days later due to work.

The beach was a short walk from the campsite... so pretty and peaceful. 

The girls befriended a fisherman who gave them freshly caught boiled crabs. 

They did a little bit of winging on the lake.  

When I arrived, the girls were lounging in the trailer.

It was so nice to walk around and enjoy the scenery.

The lake extends very close to the ocean and is a popular kiteboarding spot. 

The girls and I decided to drive to nearby Bandon while Justin was kiteboarding.

It's always fun to check out the candy stores at the coast. :P

In classic Oregon fashion it started to rain rather heavily... we got soaked!
