My favorite bakery in Michigan is...

Pastry House Hippo, an authentic japanese bakery in Novi. They make many varieties of pastries, including several that are shaped like animals. I decided to take a picture of the items I bought today as a souvenir since I won't be able to buy these anymore once we move back to Oregon in four weeks. :)

The pig is filled with strawberry jam and the crab is filled with chocolate pudding.

Mission Accomplished!

We just returned from a short visit to Oregon... the main reason we went was to find a house to rent since we'll be moving back next month. We managed to find a wonderful house in Tigard which is in the perfect location-- across the street from Stephanie's sister, around the block from Stephanie's parents, and just a couple miles away from Justin's family! Another added plus is that the house is only two years old and was built by someone who constructs homes for a living, so there are many nice details within the house. We can't wait to move in!




The weather in Portland felt very summery... this is a picture we took of Mt. Hood while walking around in our future neighborhood!
