Weekend Activities

This weekend we met Grandma and Grandpa Rufener for lunch at the girls' favorite restaurant, Red Robin!  Here is Emily coloring with Grandma.

After lunch we went to the mall and the girls enjoyed some frozen yogurt for dessert!

This weekend we also went to a birthday party for our friend Sabrina who turned 2.  There were so many fun activities, including parachute games.

All of the party guests were so well behaved and had a fabulous time!

UPDATE: The girls are 3 and 1/2 years old now, so we took some measurements!
Emily: 40 and 3/4 inches (91st percentile) and 35.2 pounds (81st percentile)
Lauren: 40 inches (82nd percentile) and 33.6 pounds (58th percentile)

Rainy Days

It's been quite rainy lately, so we've been keeping busy indoors!  This weekend we went to the Play Boutique... the girls had a blast!

Baking is always one of our favorite activities, rain or shine!  Here is Lauren mixing the dry ingredients.

Floral Headbands

We went to the mall this weekend and the girls picked out some cute floral headbands!  Emily picked a yellow one.

Lauren picked a pink one.  

The girls wore them all weekend, even during their indoor trike races!

New Gymnastics Uniforms!

Emily (left) and Lauren (right) in their new gymnastics uniforms!  The girls were so excited to return to class this week after a two week holiday break.

The girls are becoming quite skilled at completing their favorite puzzle! It's called Who Am I and each person is made of three pieces.

Let the Games Begin!

We enjoyed a lazy holiday weekend lounging around the house playing games received from Santa!  This game is called Alphabet Mystery box... here is Emily looking at a duck she picked from the box before placing it on the "D".

Zingo became a fast favorite!  The girls play it with great intensity.  

Play-Doh is a favorite too!  Emily loves to make "french fries".

Frosted Cupcakes

We made pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting this week!  Emily mixed the wet ingredients and Lauren mixed the dry ingredients.
