Culinary Treats

The girls learned how to make caneles, a french pastry with a custard center and a thick, dark, carmelized crust on the outside.

So pretty and delicious!

Mother's Day breakfast included a dutch baby pancake... my favorite!

Emily learned how to make sourdough bread as a project for school.

The bread turned out beautifully!

Emily also made this tasty salad with a vinaigrette dressing.

This weekend the girls made cinnamon sugar muffins and fried rice for breakfast... such a treat to wake up to!

Spring Piano Recital

The girls' spring piano recital was presented virtually this year using the Zoom app... they both did a fantastic job!

Lauren played "Someone You Loved".

Emily played "Perfect".

April Photos- The Pandemic Continues

The girls made yeasted waffles for breakfast... they were delicious!

The girls are becoming quite skilled at making macarons.

Emily decorated my banana. :)

The girls yelled, "Come upstairs, the toilet is smoking!" and this is what we found.

Justin went to the grocery store, and when he came home Emily greeted him at the door. She is growing so tall!

Emily dissected a squid for her science class.

She was a bit squeamish at first.

Emily showing her dissection to Lauren.

Emily dissected the quill (cartilage) out of the squid.

She used the quill and ink sack to write her name. :O

Another delicious breakfast made by the girls.

They also tried a new recipe for egg white based pancakes.

Lauren holding her thank you sign. Hopefully they will be able to return to school in the fall!
