The girls woke up on Easter and discovered that the Easter Bunny had delivered a basket for each of them and hidden eggs around the house! Here is Lauren (left) and Emily (right) about to start their egg hunt.

Checking out the treats!
Nothing like an early morning chocolate bunny to start the day!
The weather was particularly gorgeous on saturday so we stopped at a park for some swinging! The girls were squealing and screaming with delight.

Emily likes to go REALLY high!

Trips to Bob's Red Mill and the Zoo
At the beginning of the week, Emily was not feeling well and stayed home from preschool for a day which meant that Lauren went to preschool all by herself! Lauren made a get well card for Emily with the help of Teacher Susan.
Emily was so happy when Lauren gave her the card... she thanked Lauren and told her it was beautiful! The card must have helped because Emily quickly recovered and was back to her usual mischief in no time.
On saturday we went to Bob's Red Mill for breakfast. The food was delicious! We had an egg/cheese/turkey ham sandwich, whole wheat buttermilk waffle, grits, and a fruit bowl.
On sunday the sun came out and we went to the zoo! Lauren likes to ride in the wagon and Emily prefers to walk. She can walk REALLY far!
Emily, Lauren, and Daddy taking a break to snack on apples.
While we were there, the girls met up with their friend Zander from Eugene! Here are the three toddlers clinking their water bottles together and saying, "Cheers!"

Tulip Fest
This weekend we went to the 26th Annual Tulip Fest at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn!
Emily (left) and Lauren (right) had a fabulous time looking at the beautiful tulips!
There were tulips of all colors! The girls love flowers and Lauren likes to smell them too.

There were lots of other activities at the festival too... including these cute horse tire swings. Here is Lauren giving Emily a push.

Nap Time
Lauren does not like to sleep much! Here she is passed out on the couch after having a rather dramatic tantrum over not wanting to take a nap.
