Walking to Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands dedicated to Dutch arts and history.
The Night Watch, a painting by Rembrandt. I remember learning about this painting in one of my college art history classes... so neat to see it in person. It's huge!

17th century dollhouse... SUPER fancy!
Wealthy families back then not only had dollhouses, they had commissioned paintings of their fancy dollhouses.
They also commissioned portrait paintings... this is a father and son.
The Rijksmuseum houses the oldest art history library in the Netherlands.
Dutch still life paintings are one of my favorite genres.

We visited the Moco Museum which had a nice collection of modern art, including works by Banksy.

We went back to the hotel to take a break and have a snack in the executive lounge.

We went on a canal boat ride and it was so much fun! The water was very calm so I did not get seasick.

After the canal ride, we stopped for some frites. They are double fried which gives them a thick crust.
It was a beautiful evening as we walked back to the hotel.
