We arrived at the Tokyo Haneda airport a day and a half late due to extended flight delays, but better late than never! The suitcases are always arranged so neatly at the baggage claim.

After breakfast, we headed out to walk around the city.
We arrived at the Imperial Palace area.
It was a cloudy day but still fun to see the cherry blossoms.

We stopped at a convenience store for a snack.
Then we headed to Don Quixote to buy umbrellas.
The Ginza 6 shopping mall has such a pretty interior.
Delicious lunch... always so impressed with the food presentation in Japan.
Justin forgot his glasses but was able to get an eye exam and a new pair of glasses made within a couple of hours with no appointment needed!
It was still drizzling in the evening.
We switched to the Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku that evening... one of our favorite hotels.

We went back to the hotel buffet for breakfast the next morning.
The girls and I decided to head out to Harajuku.

Cat Street was a less crowded walking route to Shibuya.
Hands is one of my favorite store chains in Japan.

The Meiji Jingu shrine is a favorite of ours... a peaceful break from the city.
We stopped at a stand up sushi bar called Uogashi Nihon-Ichi for dinner.
The service was efficient and the sushi was amazing.
We spent the rest of the evening walking through Shinjuku.
So fun to see all the lights!
We had taiyaki for dessert.
