Tokyo, Japan- Part Two

Breakfast at the hotel buffet.

Zig zag crosswalk.

We went to Shinjuku Gyoen Park to see the cherry blossoms.

We stopped at Bic Camera to check out electronics.

The selection there is incredible... this entire section was dedicated to hair dryers.

We had lunch at Ichiran Ramen.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government building has a free observation deck. 

The views were spectacular.

Breakfast buffet on our second to last day in Japan.

Walking through Shinjuku to the subway.

We went to Ueno Park to see more cherry blossoms.

The picnic areas were so nicely set up with tarps and cardboard box tables.

We arrived early and it was already getting crowded.

The park was extensive... we tried some of this candied fruit and continued exploring.

We saw a monkey street performer at the park.

We had sushi for lunch.

Next, we made our way to the Gotokuji Temple.

This Buddhist temple is said to be the birthplace of meneki-neko (lucky cat).

We stopped at this Swedish style coffee shop near the temple for a snack.

It was delicious!

On our way back we saw a Boston terrier that made us think of Lexi.

We bought some matcha at the Ikedaya TeaStore Matcha in Shinjuku station... this store was not easy to find!

We watched the Tokyo Night and Light show, a light show projected on the east facade of the building. It was impressive!

We stopped at the Takashiyama food basement.

Could not resist one more egg salad sandwich.

We had a sushi lunch at the Haneda airport.

There is an observation deck at the airport where you can watch the planes taking off.

It was a great trip and we cannot wait to visit again someday!
